After a successful redesign of their Jacuzzi Family Vineyards portfolio the team at Cline Cellars, reached out to us again to update their Ancient Vines branding and packaging. The Cline family members are passionate land stewards and preservationists of an agricultural area increasingly under pressure of more intensive forms of development. The previous design felt corporate and didn't sufficiently convey the incredible story of the wine's origin. The new design features a silkscreened type lockup, inspired by the custom glass molds that were standard when these 100-year-old vines were planted. The updated package, released on Cline Cellars' 40th anniversary, commemorates the occasion with a special band of type around the neck. A hidden QR code printed under the capsule, guides drinkers to a video of Fred and Hilary Cline sharing family and vineyard history, adding unobtrusive modernity to a classic format.
