Toje is a small production wine brand from Sonoma County by husband-and-wife team Johannes and Jenny Scheid. Toje, meaning “root stock” or “vine trunk”, hails from a small village in the Mosel Valley in Germany, where winemaker Johannes Scheid was born and raised. The word is adapted to tell the story of two people from two different countries and cultures coming together to plant new roots.
