DAOU Vineyards partnered with Gatto Rivera to introduce their estate and reserve wines in an innovative single-serve vial format, blending design innovation, brand translation, and print production. The challenge was to ensure the new format preserved DAOU Vineyards’ brand recognition and equity while adapting the design elements to the smaller, horizontally oriented medium.
Cigar-style labels were added to reinforce the wines’ premium quality and create a clear distinction between the estate and reserve tiers, each comprising three wines. The vials offer a by-the-glass serving size, providing consumers an approachable way to sample these premium wines. Working within the constraints of this unique format, the design brought DAOU’s elegant branding to life while ensuring functionality and visual impact.
