YB Wine Co.
PACKAGE DESIGN, ILLUSTRATION
Introducing YB Wine Co. From the hillsides of Mount Veeder, brothers William and Ryan Yates are carrying forward a 70-year family tradition. What began as a humble harvest in 2020 has grown into a shared commitment: to craft small-lot wines defined by place, rooted in heritage, and made in collaboration with fellow family growers.
From the oldest continuously owned vineyard on Mt. Veeder, YB Wine Co. wines are shaped by steep slopes, long growing seasons, and a history that stretches back to the 1880s. These labels honor that legacy, reimagining the original Castlerock Vineyards and family coat of arms with custom stenciled lettering, a nod to the wild spirit of Mt. Veeder and a family story rooted in these hills for over 70 years.
The brand’s flagship rosé draws from its roots with a spirit that looks to the future. The label features a custom illustration of William Yates behind the wheel of the forklift in front of the ghost winery on the estate, alongside typography inspired by vintage barrel stencils still found on the property. These subtle details reflect the moments that shaped the foundation of the YB story.
Bright, fresh, and mindfully made, the YB rosé offering is approachable and meant to be shared.
